A medicine consumed without authentic knowledge is like poison, weapon, fire or thunderbolt, while the one properly known and from an authentic doctor is like nectar. Avoid self treatment.

Here Comes summer and you are probably already reaching out for that glass of cool water from the fridge. If yes, stop for a moment and read this!
Imagine drinking hot water in summers. This might freak you out but it is true. Drinking warm water throughout the year can be great for your health in several ways; Having said that we don’t mean piping hot water, but lukewarm water can be the best dose of health your body needs to beat the harshness of the environment and help stay fit. After all, 75 percent of our body is made up of fluids and for better functioning our body needs to strike the perfect balance of electrolytes. So, here are a few reasons why you must drink warm water and what it does to your body and few remedies to make your regular water even more nutritious.

If you are actually looking at drinking water for more health reasons and not only to quench your thirst, you should reach out for a glass of warm water, instead of cold water.
Here’s why:
1) According to Ayurveda, drinking warm water with and after the meals balances the internal doshas in the body. Warm water helps aid smoother digestion, as opposed to chilled water, which only shocks the system further. One interesting drink you would find in South India is 'Chukkuvellum,'which is a herbal and medicated hot beverage made by adding spices and herbs such as cumin and ginger. Chukkuvellum is a common drink served across Kerala. Chukku means dry ginger and vellam means water, a mixture of which is an exceptional remedy to treat cold and cough, too. One can also add coriander (mallivellam) or cumin (jeerakavellam) to the drink.
2) Drinking warm water every morning can help in flushing out the toxins from the digestive system. Warm water also helps in the proper functioning of the endocrine system. This happens because lukewarm water raises the body temperature, which in turn increases the metabolic rate, which helps throw out the toxins from the body.
Take 1 litre water, ½ a teaspoon lime juice, 3-4 basil leaves, small piece of ginger

This blend will help in flushing out toxins from the body and improve the metabolic rate along with improving digestion. However, ginger is warm in nature. So make sure you add a very small portion of it.
3) Drinking warm water increases the body temperature, which improves the metabolic rate.
4) It helps in breaking the food molecules in your intestine and helps in better digestion as well as absorption of nutrients. This helps in managing the weight effectively. Here’s a simple herbal blend that you can try to accelerate your weight loss process.
Take 1 liter water, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1 teaspoon coriander seeds, 1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds.

Boil this blend properly and sip it throughout the day, this drink will not only promote weight loss, but at the same time flush out the toxins from the body.
5) Warm water is a vasodilator which means it expands the blood vessels, improving circulation. It also helps the muscles to relax and reduce pain. So if you have sore muscles or muscle pain in general, drinking warm water would eventually give some relief. All cold liquids have a tendency to constrict the blood vessels. In fact, your digestive process tends to slow down and your body doesn't get hydrated properly with cold water.

6) Warm water fights common flu and cold. It also gives quick relief for people suffering from sinus problems. Do you know why you might be prone to develop cold after drinking cold water? Well, cold water could weaken your immunity as excess mucus gets created in your body if you drink ice water after a heavy meal.

7) This water clears the mucus of the body which is the root cause of many diseases. It purifies the blood and helps to get rid of pimples and acne.
8) Helps To Actually Cool Your Body Down When It Gets Too Hot Outside. This may sound like really contrasting, but when you drink warm water as the temperature starts to rise, it actually helps to cool your body down and make you feel better and less hot by sweating out and this evaporating sweat makes your body cool down.
9) In addition, this is also a great way to relieve constipation, which may often be a problem during summers, when our bodies tend to become dehydrated. If you are suffering from constipation, you can add 1/4 teaspoon of salt in one glass of hot water and can drink four to five glasses of such water to get your stomach clear. It will make your bones healthier too. You can also have a few sips of this water while having your meals. It will help in digestion.
10) And in a world that's over-the-top obsessed with anti-aging, there's an added bonus to getting your sweat on: By drinking hot water daily, the toxins that are being flushed out by drinking hot water force your pores to keep repairing their cells. These repaired cells promote elasticity that can help prevent wrinkles as you age — potentially making you look younger in the long run.
One may find it difficult to adapt suddenly to the habit of switching over in summer rather it will be easy if one has a habit of drinking warm water throughout the year.Try this out and experience the changes!!!!
